In this episode, I talk to Alexandra Popescu-Zorica about the corporate innovation process and what it means to lead an innovation department but also about her startup failures and what she learned from them. “You can have the best process in the world but if you don’t have the people to support you when you fail you can’t innovate.”
” Our education System is a system that punishes failure, a system that tells you that if you want to succeed you must NOT fail, and this leaves a print on the way that you think and the way that you act. We need to show the next generations that it’s ok to fail because it’s the only way towards progress.”
Alexandra has more than 14 years of experience in sales, business development, and innovation. She is now Head of Innovation in NN and has spent the last 4 years managing innovation projects. Alexandra also experienced first-hand entrepreneurship and volunteers to support startups and NGOs to apply design thinking and lean startup in their business model.
